Barrow Hill Community Trust is delighted to announce that the long-awaited renovation of the Memorial Hall is now approaching completion, marking a significant milestone for the local community.
Over recent months, the Hall has undergone an extensive transformation designed to preserve its historic character while enhancing its facilities for modern use. The project has focused on improving accessibility, upgrading key amenities, and creating a more welcoming and flexible space for a wide range of community activities.
Once complete, the Memorial Hall will offer improved accessibility for all visitors (including a changing places toilet), remodelled and refurbished interiors with updated décor, enhanced heating, lighting, and energy efficiency and modernised facilities to support events, meetings, and local initiatives.
The Trust would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported the project so far — from volunteers and funders to local residents who have shown patience and enthusiasm throughout the renovation period.
This revitalised space will soon once again become a focal point for community life in Barrow Hill, hosting events, classes, celebrations, health and physical activities and gatherings for people of all ages.
Final snagging details are now underway and some of our partners are currently testing a range of activities which should highlight any potential issues. Further updates — including details of an official reopening event — will be shared shortly.
Barrow Hill Community Trust looks forward to welcoming everyone back to a refreshed and revitalised Memorial Hall very soon.
